Giveaway: 25 Ways To Kill A Werewolf – Paperback

Book Cover

In case you forgot what it looked like!

I will (soon, promise!) be in possession of a few copies and I’d like to share them out. To this end, I’m giving away a couple of copies. Yes, that’s right, 2 copies that can be defaced as you wish.

Because of financial constraints, this is only open to people who have a postal address in the UK, the EU and / or the EEA – or Switzerland, you crazy, non-involved people – otherwise the cost of posting gets a bit out of hand.

Publishing Details

25 Ways to Kill a Werewolf came out in paperback on Tuesday 12th August from Fox Spirit Books [External Link]. E-books are now out from Amazon but you missed that giveaway (sorry).

I’ll be giving away two paperbacks in this giveaway but, if you don’t win one, the best way to get hold of a copy is to look it up on your local version of Amazon or to follow the links on the Fox Spirit Books website.

How This Will Work

I want to know about your favourite werewolves in stories, books, film, tv, radio… Whatever medium they exist in, and that we can share. In order to make the sharing possible, we’re going to need links to more information, links to the online short story, a Goodreads page for a novel or anthology, the IMDB or TV Tropes page for a film or tv show… and so on. (Where do they put stuff about radio programmes? Let me know!)

Only one entry per person, please. Post this entry below by 23:59 (BST) on Tuesday 16th September, 2014. Or before midnight on Wednesday 17th September, 2014, depending on how you prefer to express it.

Conversation is allowed, of course, and it’s okay to discuss, approve, prove or dispute – as long as you bring your manners, otherwise I’ll be discounting your entry for being mean.

I will edit comments to put count numbers on posts so that everyone can see clearly which number they have been assigned. If a comment’s elligibility changes, I’ll put in a (replying) comment to explain why that happened.

On Wednesday 17th September, I will put the total number of elligible comments into an online random number generator (this one: [External Link]) and generate two numbers. The posts that correspond to those numbers will be the winners. I will announce the winners in another post and get in touch with the winners through the details you provide to leave a comment.

To repeat the boring stuff again, remember:

  • Entry to the giveaway runs from September 3rd until September 16th with the winner to be announced September 17th.
  • Only people with a postal address in the UK, the EU and / or the EEA may enter. (Fine, Switzerland, too, if you want to twist my arm.) If it turns out you don’t have one of these if / when I contact you, I’ll redo the draw.
  • One elligible comment per person – it’s okay to get into debate with the other posters but only one post will be counted. Comment numbering will reflect this.
  • Discourteous behaviour will get the elligibility of your comment withdrawn. Comment numbering will reflect this.

This might be cheating a little but =p

My choice would have to be the Werewolf: The Apocalypse RPG from Onyx Path (Previously from White Wolf).

You play as a Garou and are part of one of 13 tribes that influence both your abilities, background and politics.

I loved the history and backgrounds that were there to serve as a basis for your own stories. I also loved that it is part of a shared universe with Vampire: The Masquerade & Mage: The Ascension.

Game werewolves count – I just didn’t think to add them to the list of media. Mainly beause I don’t RPG much and gave up WoW years ago 🙂

  2. Ruth Booth says:

I’m going to choose an individual werewolf, if that’s okay… Harold Howard in the original Teen Wolf film (written by Jeph Loeb).

Michael J Fox/Scott Howard has just had his first transformation. His Dad’s knocking on the bathroom door, demanding he comes out, and Scott is just completely freaking out. Eventually he opens the door… and there’s his Dad, stood there, completely sober and completely transformed into a werewolf.

“An explanation is probably long overdue…”
